This is an educational activity for students. It can take 1 to 2 ~40 minute classroom sessions to complete. They will learn about small satellites and build (a paper) one themselves! The kit was designed and created by engineering students at Olin College in Massachusetts. These students work on building REAL small satellites and are hoping to inspire the next generation to do the same.

Physical Kit Envelope Includes:
1x Booklet that gives you an overview of small satellites (it's illustrated with cute cartoons and doubles as a coloring book if you like!)
1x Ad-Lib style worksheet that prompts you to design YOUR OWN small satellite mission
1x Filled-in example of the worksheet to help guide your own answers if you need it
• Materials to build your own paper small satellite printed on cardstock NOTE: you will need scissors, tape and markers to build it yourself
1x Sticker of one of the cartoons in the booklet

You'll also receive the following in PDF digital format:
1x Digital document introducing you to the engineering students who designed the kit. They explain how they got to where they are today and what inspired them to pursue engineering and satellite-building.
1x Digital document that includes additional resources to inspire your kid/students to explore their love of space and satellites (like free online resources, student clubs, phone apps, and more)

Digital Kit Includes:
•   Everything above in print-at-home digital format only
NOTE: Sticker not included in digital kit. I recommend printing the build-your-own satellite design on cardstock.

Happy building, budding satellite scientists!
